Hunting for BonBon

A little bored, I noticed an announcement on Tumblr for a hunt over at [BB]bonbon.  The items they were showing were cute and caught my eyes fairly quickly, especially the Marilyn Monroe pieces (yes, I'm a fan of hers).  Popping over there, I realized that the hunt was not only super easy but, they were labelled well so I could pick and choose which pieces I really wanted.  The hunt is not a free one, each hunt gift does cost 30L but all items are mesh so it's a good deal.  There is a large picture at the front door with all the pieces numbered so that you can grab what you want.

I picked up a total of 5 pieces, the bag, skirt and top were each in separate hunt gifts.

Bohemian Styling!

Just the word "bohemian" brings fond memories and a smile to my face.  In University, four very close friends rented a one bedroom apartment and bought a cheap couch with a pullout bed.  We were broke most of the time, stressed with studies and homework but, it was the best times of our lives.  To relieve the stress from school, my favorite places to go was a little second hand shop that bordered on the eclectic, that was just down the road from the apartment.  The things I found in that little shop were pure treasures to me and the fact that they were super cheap made their value in my eyes, priceless.  My enthusiasm for wearing the most interesting, fun and sometimes wild things, became quickly adopted by my fellow roommates.  It became a normal sight with us walking to school or to the local pub, in some of the most eclectic items that could be found, in that second hand shop.  In honor of those wonderful times, I have put together an outfit that is reminiscent of the look I had so much fun with.

As in those days, I did have some shopping to do in some quaint shops and had a wonderful time sorting through many goodies.   I've also included the prices I paid and what was a gift so that you can see that I really did relive the good ol' days, even in the savings.  lol
For the proper atmosphere, I went looking for a cute little coffee shop to help set the mood and found a really comfy, cozy one in the Albatross Coffee House.

It's Sunny at Sunflowers!

Why is it so nice and sunny over at Sunflowers?  Because Drew Sunflower has released some new skins in her store.  She's a new designer who is showing some promising talent with skins, which are delicate looking, nicely shaded and quite pretty to see.  She has different options available in the packages, with cleavage or if you are looking for without cleavage or a nice A cup option.  There is also a variety of different shades of makeup you can choose from, from the vendors. 
There is also skins that come with teeth showing, so that you can show off those pearly whites.  You have choices of different makeup to choose from as well in those lines, along with the cleavage options.  I took a few pictures of some of the makeup choices in the Tina line, so you can see for yourself how well done these skins look.

While doing the photos for this, I also figured I would see what a MOCK lipstick would look like and if it would fit nicely on the skins.  So I popped one on and guess what?!  Lip size2 fit wonderfully from the lipstain line.  (yeah, I'm a Mocklet and really addicted to Mockie's makeup lines..lol)

Things you Discover

I've said this before, I love hunting for different reasons.  One is that it fills in time in a fun filled way and two, it allows me to see and find places that normally I may miss.
Searching through the last stores in the Womenstuff hunt(yay!  I finished btw) I came upon a store that is well laid out and the designs are sharp and appealing.  LIV-Glam has styles that are very trendy and fashion forward.  What knocked me over was the prices, which are very affordable.  To try out her styles, I found a nice little group gift that I picked up and gave a try.  I'm impressed!  I didn't have to do much in the way of adjusting and everything looked great.  It came with jacket, pants, top and shoes, so an entire outfit.  Looking around, there were different colors for 99L, which is phenomenal for pricing.  So if you have a chance, pop over and check this creator out, it's well worth the trip!

Womenstuff Hunt: .:NV:. Corsetry

Hunting to me is the very best way of having a great time with some amazing people AND finding fantastic stores that you normally would have missed otherwise.  While doing the Womenstuff Hunt, I came across a fabulous store in the hunt that I'm totally in love with! Corsetry is full of..well what else?  Corsets!  All incredible in detail and rich in design, these are just scrumptious beyond words!  Luckily while I was there, the designer of these beauties was also in the store.  Khurt Vhargon was super helpful, friendly and even informed me of joining the group to get the group gift, which is a rich textured corset in Butter.   For this month, the group is free to join but, there will be a fee in the future.  Khurt also informed me that group members will be getting gifts, sales and discounts, so well worth joining; especially since it is free at this point in time.
Another thing that impressed me about this designer, is that he offered to assist with the fitting of the corset.  If you require help in fitting your corset, all you need to do is set an appointment and he is happy to assist you, to ensure that you will be happy with the product you have.   Major thumbs up from this girl for wonderful customer service!!

A Shopping I did Go!

It's cloudy and overcast outside today, a day worthy of a nice, fresh shopping trip in SL in my opinion.  Yeah, it's an excuse to go shopping and I can find about a 100 of them but, I will stick by each and every one of them.  lol
While chatting away to friends, a nice little notice came out that VMC had a couple of cute outfits available for group members.  Could I resist?  Oh heck no, so off I went and picked up both outfits.  The group is free to join.  Since I was there, I could not resist looking around a bit and picked up a cute little sweater/jean outfit for 10L and the Sara skin in pale with Red tone lipstick for also 10L.  In fact, the outfits are all 10L each from what I seen, with fatpacks priced at 50L, so well worth dropping by and taking a peek at the cute styles that are available!
